I am excited to share my experience as a Credit & Risk Management intern at SG Cash. My journey with SG Cash began in the Winter of 2020, during my final year at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), where I was pursuing a degree in Banking & Finance.
I discovered the SG Cash Internship Programme in Credit & Risk Management through NTU’s Career & Attachment office.
One aspect I particularly appreciated about SG Cash’s Credit & Risk Management internship programme was its practical approach to understanding credit assessment and risk mitigation strategies. Through hands-on assignments, I gained a comprehensive understanding of evaluating the creditworthiness of both SMEs and individuals.
Throughout my internship, spanning from December 2020 to January 2021, I was given opportunities to apply the knowledge acquired in real-world scenarios. From analyzing financial documents to engaging in site visits with clients, each task contributed significantly to my professional development. I also cultivated my Excel proficiency by automating processes and calculations.
Aside from credit risk and management, the internship provided a holistic learning experience encompassing various facets of the finance industry. Furthermore, the managers’ approachability and expertise in the field enriched the internship experience, ensuring it was both educational and enjoyable.
Based on my enriching experience, I wholeheartedly recommend SG Cash’s Credit & Risk Management internship programme to others seeking to deepen their understanding of credit assessment, risk management, and the finance industry as a whole. This internship offers valuable insights and practical knowledge that will undoubtedly benefit your career journey.
I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to intern with SG Cash and participate in their Credit & Risk Management internship. The invaluable experiences and lessons learned have shaped my professional growth.
