On 16 December 2025, our team from SG Cash, led by our CEO, Mr Kenneth Koh, had the privilege of embarking on our second Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the year with a visit to HCA Oasis@Outram Day Hospice, located at Outram Community Hospital.
Oasis@Outram is a truly unique facility that serves as a sanctuary for patients with life-limiting illnesses and a prognosis of 12 months or less. The centre’s care model places strong emphasis on individuality, moving away from a one-size-fits-all approach to one centred on the “3D” principles of Dignity, Diversity, and Development – for beneficiaries, volunteers, and staff alike. Notably, Oasis@Outram is among the first and only day hospice in Singapore to offer dedicated paediatric facilities within an adult care setting, enabling patients of different ages to connect, share experiences, and create meaningful moments together.
In the weeks leading up to the visit, our team worked closely to plan activities, meals, and simple games aimed at bringing comfort and engagement to the patients. The collective effort and thoughtfulness of our staff ensured that the programme was conducted with care, sensitivity, and respect for the patients and their families.
On the day itself, 18 of our staff from SG Cash gathered at Oasis@Outram, where we were first guided on wheelchair operations and given an overview of the facility. We were deeply moved by the careful consideration and compassion reflected in the design of the space, which prioritises comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being for its patients.
As the programme commenced, our team donned festive Christmas attire to spread some seasonal cheer. Residents participated in simple activities such as pizza-making, games, and were treated to a medley of Christmas songs performed by our staff. The event concluded with the singing of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”, followed by the distribution of goodie bags to the patients in attendance.
It was a humbling and meaningful day for all of us at SG Cash. We are grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the residents and to contribute, in our own small way, to moments of joy and connection.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Frances and all at Oasis@Outram for welcoming us so warmly. We look forward to supporting your important work again in the near future, and wish everyone at HCA Hospice continued good health and well-being.
